Mon-Fri Update, Weekend Trip Planned
Mon-Tues-Wed-Thurs-Friday morning runs, averaging about 5 or 6 miles. Temps ranging from 10-25 degrees but never got too cold. Dark outside when I start but cold, clear and sunny when I finish. There’s no way I can understate how beautiful the landscape is here, as I make the turnaround and head toward home. The roads are very clear, no ice or snow, so once I get off the ranch it’s clear sailing. Off to the Highwood Mountains this weekend for a hunting trip with Jon (@Schnees_Jon) and Bart, so I’ll probably be able to some nice trail runs during the middle of the day. We’re going to bring some Schnee’s catalog merchandise up and do some photo work while we’re there, and we’ll also be bringing some video cameras. It promises to be sort of a hunt-run-work kind of weekend.
We have some snow on the way this weekend and then snow is expected several days next week, so I’ll have to decide on which traction system I want to use for my shoes. Last year I used sheet metal screws and it worked great, so I might do that again this year, or I might actually spring for some Kahtoola or YakTrax so that I can rotate my shoes more often.
